7pm : Arts Network Talk with Lakwena

This month we’re joining other Arts students across the country to listen to our special guest Lakwena Maciver!

Lakwena is a London-based artist best known for her public murals painted internationally. She has created work from installations at Tate Britain, Somerset House, Facebook and the Southbank Centre in London, to a juvenile detention centre in Arkansas, a monastery in Vienna, and the Bowery Wall in New York City.

Her work, primarily text-based, employs a combination of words, bold pattern and acid-bright colour to subtly subvert prevailing mythologies in mass media.

Join the Arts Network mailing list to receive the Zoom link (make sure you sign up before the evening so you don't get missed out!)

6:30PM : Impact Group Launch Night

Impact Groups are when we meet in small breakout rooms of about 3 - 6 students, and are all about being impacted by God's word and helping to equip ourselves to live and speak for Jesus at uni.

They're a wonderful place to make friends, get connected into CU life and receive help in finding a local church to get plugged into.

This term, we'll be working through Paul's letter to the Philippians. We'll find that this ancient letter can still bring impact today, particularly in the strange times we find ourselves in as uni students.
